BLAME! (Manga)

My Rating: 100%
Chapters: 66

BLAME! (pronounced "blam," as in, a gunshot) is primarily interesting because of its setting, a bleak, infinite, cityscape comprising a solid Dyson sphere (a city the size of the solar system basically), and because of its depiction of advanced cyber-genetic technology, including rapid structured mutation and human genetic autoevolution. The artwork for BLAME! is without equal, and, with its minimalist dialogue, the reader will find it easy both to become immersed in the world of the story, and to experience the action without the usual intrusion of dialogue.

Killy, a lone traveller, searches throughout "The City" for humans possessing the Net Terminal Gene, a genetic code that has been lost for ages and is required to access the city's mainframe. He also desires to find the end of the city, or the surface of the Dyson sphere. Along the way he occasionally teams with Cibo, a scientist, and others, in fighting the Safeguard, a cybernetic life form intent on exterminating all biological life.
